I Thought I’d Lose 10 Pounds… I Lost 38 and Gained My Life Back

If you had told me a few years ago that I’d lose over 38 pounds and feel better than I have in years, I probably would’ve laughed and reached for another snack. But here I am — healthier, happier, and honestly, a little in awe of how far I’ve come.

I wanted to share my story in case you’re where I was not so long ago: feeling stuck, sluggish, and needing a change but not sure where to start.

How It All Started

Like so many people, I gained a lot of weight during COVID. The stress, the isolation, and the endless snacks while working from home definitely took a toll. More than the number on the scale though, I just felt unhealthy. Tired. Foggy. Unmotivated. And to be honest, a little scared.

When my husband got sick, it was a wake-up call for both of us. I realized we couldn’t keep living like this — something had to give.

That’s when a few friends, who had seen great results themselves, encouraged me to try Arbonne’s 30 Days of Healthy Living. I’ll be honest — I was skeptical. I figured I’d give it a month, maybe lose 10 pounds, and then move on. I had no idea it would change so much more than my weight.

What Surprised Me

I thought this was going to be like every other “diet” I’d tried — restrictive, complicated, and unsustainable. But it wasn’t.

What I loved right away was that I didn’t have to count calories. No tedious tracking apps or tiny portions. The focus was on fueling my body with nutritious, whole foods and removing the things that were inflaming my system and slowing me down (like dairy, gluten, refined sugars, and processed junk).

At first, I worried about giving up some of my favorite foods. Would I be miserable? Would it feel like a sacrifice?

But here’s the honest truth — within just a few days, I felt so much better that I didn’t miss any of it. Better sleep, clearer skin, my clothes started fitting again, and the mental fog lifted. It was incredible how quickly my body responded when I finally started giving it what it needed.

The Best Part

Another thing I loved? I didn’t have to cook separate meals for myself and my family. It was so easy to tweak what we were already eating so it worked for me too. I could still sit down at the table and enjoy meals with my husband and kids, without feeling like I was on some weird diet island.

And because it wasn’t about deprivation, it didn’t feel hard to stick with it. In fact, it became something I looked forward to — trying new recipes, finding creative ways to make old favorites with healthier swaps, and watching the weight melt off naturally.

Where I Am Now

Fast forward, and I’ve lost over 38 pounds. But what matters even more is how I feel.

  • I sleep better.

  • I have more energy.

  • My skin glows.

  • I’m more present and clear-headed.

  • And I finally feel in control of my health again.

It’s not an exaggeration to say this program gave me my life back.

Would I Recommend It?

Without hesitation.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, sluggish, or just want a fresh start — this is it. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to give up everything you love forever. Just commit to 30 days of prioritizing yourself, and see how you feel.

I promise, it’s so much more than a “diet.” It’s a lifestyle shift, and one that’s easy to keep up with because it actually makes you feel good.

If you’re curious about it or want to know how to get started, drop me a message — I’d be happy to share more about my experience or help you find the resources I used.

Here’s to health, happiness, and discovering what you’re capable of. 💚
